That is why we founded Baas Shipping in 2020 – as a joint venture between two independent shipping companies: Brise Bereederungs GmbH & Co. KG, Hamburg, and F&L Schifffahrt GmbH & Co. KG, Lübeck. With the addition of Bernd Becker Shipmanagement in 2026, we have further strengthened our position in the market.

Through this merger, we combine in-depth expertise in both commercial and technical management.

In doing so, we focus on resource-efficient, environmentally friendly and digital aspects of shipping – to secure your long-term commercial success. With our combined expertise, we set innovative standards across the entire value chain.

Our goal: sustainable shipping in the coaster and container feeder segments – achieved through operational and technical optimisation of the existing fleet and bespoke, efficient ship designs for newbuild projects.

• Enviro Feeder: With our new-build SMB1000OT vessels (1,100 TEU), we are focusing on forward-looking environmental technologies in the container segment.
• Groot Design 5900XL & 5200XL: Our new generation of mini-bulkers combines high deadweight tonnage with state-of-the-art efficiency and ice class for demanding markets.
• Digitalisation: We use digital solutions to continuously optimise the operation of our vessels and reduce our carbon footprint.
